Looks like the “fergie time winner” is manifesting again in the United team much to the delight of the fans as United snatch a win from Watford at Vicarage road on Saturday.

Watford scared united after Troy Deeney cancelled Memphis Depay’s volley opener with a late penalty kick, the entertaining game was sealed dramatically when Troy Deeney scored an own goal after parrying Schweinsteiger’s shot inside the net.

Manchester United struggled a bit in the opening minutes of the game until Herrera delivered a wonderful cross that found Memphis who made no mistake by scoring a volley much to the delight of the fans.


Watford had a great chance in the first half when they launched a counter attack that was proven unsuccessful as Odion Ighalo blasted the ball above the cross bar.

Ander Herrera suffered an Hamstring injury in the 25th minute and was replaced by Marcos Rojo. Herrera’s absence affected the United fluidity as they struggled to control, dominate and create chances in the game.

There were few activities upfront before Robert Madley ended the first half. Mata and schweinsteiger had a scruffy first half.

Watford introduced Nathan Ake who replaced Jurado in the second half.


David De Gea made a couple of brilliant saves to deny Watford attempts to level up the game.

Lingard had a chance to seal the win put passed the ball straight into the goal keeper’s hands.

Paddy McNair replaced Phil jones who had an injury in the 69th minute. and Andreas Pereira replaced Juan Mata in the 79th minute.

Watford won a penalty in the 85th minute when Ighalo was brought down by Marcos Rojo in the penalty box and Troy Deeney scored the penalty with a powerful shot.


In the 90th minute, United scored dramatically as Pereira forced Gomes’ save that rolled  down to unmarked Schweinsteiger who tapped home the goal through the deflection of Troy Deeney.

Louis Van Gaal was certainly pleased with the fighting spirit and praised his boys after a great game of entertainment.

United will host PSV at old trafford in their next game and the fans hope to see more attacking football and passion from the players.
