All eyes on Gareth Bale as Wales faces Slovakia on saturday
Wales will face another Euros competition debutant, Slovakia and the presence of Gareth Bale is a huge boost to the team as they look to make their nation proud. Their coach Chris Coleman said in the press conference that his team are aware that they need to perform and concentrate if they want to achieve something in the competition.
The Wales Captain Ashley Williams also added that the team is ready for the task ahead and will go out and put a good performance after the National anthem.
Slovakia coach, Jan Kozak on the other hand is optimistic and also wants his team to impress their Nation. “In terms of the line-up I have just one question, by which I mean defender Tomáš Hubočan. We will see after training if he will be ready. We are preparing for our first game after 36 years at a EURO [Czechoslovakia last appeared in 1980], but I am old enough to be nervous.”
He also said he knows that England are favorites to top their group and they also have the best team in the group, but he thinks other teams in the group have equal chance too.
When asked about Bale, Kozak said he won’t go into details of plans to stop Bale but he’s aware that there are other players in the Wales team that can cause problems, ” However, Wales are not just about Bale. It’s a team game. They have other top players who play for top English teams”, he said.
