Manchester United began the new premier league campaign with a convincing win over Bournemouth. Zlatan Ibrahomovic scored on his Premier League debut as Jose Mourinho’s tenure got off to a fine start with a 3-1 win away at Bournemouth.

Jose Mourinho side started the game slowly and carefully, there were little actions in the opening minutes of the game as both teams were playing with caution. The first goal came in the 40th minute when Simon Francis’ back pass was scooped by Mata- Boruc parried Mata’s initial effort but Mata got a second chance with a rebound off Simon Francis, as he rolled the ball into the empty net.

Manchester United added to their lead in the second half when Valencia’s cross was smothered by Anthony Martial and Rooney was in the perfect position to nod home their second goal of the day.

Ibrahimovic almost scored with a powerful free kick but was denied by the Bournemouth keeper, Boruc..

Ibrahimovic didnt give up, he later scored his debut goal in the 64th minute after his low placed shot passed goalkeeper Boruc to the back of the net.

Bournemouth grabbed one goal through Adam Smith in the 69th minute; his right footed shot was too powerful for De Gea who saw the ball whistling to the top corner. But of course it was no more than a consolation for them
