Premier League champions Leicester City have announced that influential winger Riyad Mahrez has committed his future to the club by signing a new four-year contract.
The Algerian international played a key role in the Foxes’ surprise title-winning campaign last season as he netted 17 goals and registered 11 assists in 37 appearances.
Such was his brilliant form Mahrez had been linked with an exit from the King Power Stadium this summer, but speculation over his future has been put to rest after the club revealed on their official website that he has put pen-to-paper on a new deal that ties him down until 2020.
Supporters of the Midlands outfit will no doubt be delighted with the news that the reigning PFA Players’ Player of the Year has decided to commit his future to the club.
