Manchester United defender Eric Bailly has revealed his ultimate ambition with the Red Devils is winning the Champions League.

Bailly joined Manchester United in the summer in a big-money deal from Villarreal and the 22-year-old certainly still has plenty to learn in the Premier League.

However, the Ivory Coast international has looked 10 years older with his maturity on the pitch, after taking to the Premier League like a duck to water and winning over the supporters.

Whilst Manchester United are in the Europa League this season, Bailly admits his dream is to make it into Europe’s elite club competition with Jose Mourinho’s side and to eventually lift the Champions League.

“To win the Champions League with United. Definitely!” Bailly told Manchester United’s official website.

Meanwhile, Bailly also revealed how he used to play at defensive midfield for former club Espanyol, although he insists his main position is where he currently plays now – centre-back.

“I have never played in goal! I was a defensive midfielder when I was young at Espanyol, but I’m a central defender – always,” Bailly added.

Bailly also took several other questions and revealed who he thinks are the best player of all-time is, as well as Africa’s greatest.

The greatest-ever African footballer…
It has to be my friend, Didier Drogba.

Football’s greatest-ever player…
For me, it’s Zinedine Zidane.

Best goal you have ever seen…
The goal in the Champions League final scored by Zidane against Bayer Leverkusen [May, 2002].

Zidane is currently in charge of Real Madrid after retiring in 2006, whilst Drobga is still strutting his stuff – the former Ivory Coast international is currently with MLS outfit Montreal Impact and has scored 10 goals in 22 league games this season.
