Wales striker Hal Robson-Kanu has made it onto Fifa’s shortlist for the Puskas Award alongside Lionel Messi and Neymar.

Robson-Kanu’s incredible spin on the edge of the penalty area before a superb finish against Belgium in the quarter-finals of the European Championships.

The striker, who at the time was a free agent, has had a whirlwind few months and has now been confirmed as a member of the Puskas Award shortlist for 2016.

Wales progressed past Belgium but were knocked out by Portugal in the semi-finals.

Robson-Kanu eventually signed for West Brom on a free transfer but has yet to start a league game under Tony Pulis.

The Welsh forward is up for the award alongside Barcelona superstars, Messi and Neymar, whose goals against America and Villarreal respectively have made the shortlist.

Messi’s goal came for Argentina during the Copa America semi-final as he stunned everyone watching with an inch-perfect free-kick into the top corner, while Neymar finished off a counter attack with great skill in the penalty area and a volley on the turn.
