The draw for the semi-finals of the EFL Cup has been made, with Manchester United to face Hull City.

In the other tie Southampton will take on Liverpool in another all-Premier League encounter.

United prevailed past West Ham to secure their place in the last four, while Hull got the better of Newcastle on penalties.

Southampton were excellent in dispatching of Arsenal,  while Liverpool beat Leeds United 2-0 in a hard-fought affair.

The first legs of these ties will be played on January 10th and 11th, while the second legs will be played on January 24th and 25th, with the Final to take place at Wembley on February 26th.

Although Hull certainly won’t be pushovers, United will be hopeful of reaching the final as they seek to secure the first trophy of the Jose Mourinho era.

Liverpool, meanwhile, face a challenging game against Southampton and surely won’t be able to rest many senior players if they are to stand a chance of prevailing.
