The Africa Cup of Nations kicked off two days ago, with Gabon and Guinea opening the tournament with a 1-1 draw. Cameroon and Burkina Faso also shared points with another 1-1 draw.

Algeria also shared points with Zimbabwe on the second day of the Tournament. Riyad Mahrez two goals couldn’t secure them a win after Zimbabwe took advantage of their shaky defence.

Senegal stirred up the competition with a 2-0 solid win against Tunisia who couldn’t make use of their chances. Sadio Mane opened the scoring with a penalty in the 10th minute, and Mbodji scored later in the 30th minutes to make sure they cement their lead. Tunisia tried to pull a comeback in the second half but weren’t successful in their attempt.

Ivory Coast will face Togo today, DR Congo will also face Morocco today as teams in the Group C will lock horns to squeeze out a favourable result for their respective teams.

Teams will look to follow the footsteps of Senegal, and grab the important 3 points instead of settling for one or nothing.
